It feels surreal to say this, but I finally took a day off today! It's been a whirlwind since the grand launch of Christmas 2023 back in August (never mind the Halloween rush), and long days have become the norm. Don't get me wrong, it's been incredibly rewarding, but even business owners need a break now and then.
Even though I enjoyed a much-needed day off, that familiar feeling of "never switching off" never truly went away. This is the time of year where customers are knee-deep in fur and dribble (the adorable kind, of course!), enjoying their Christmas grooms. It's in these moments that I find myself reflecting on the joy of picking up a freshly groomed dog with their festive bandana or bow, and it motivates me to keep pushing forward.
The next few weeks will be a welcome respite, a time to catch my breath and plan for 2024. The first order of business is establishing a more structured routine, one that doesn't involve working around the clock. It's important to recharge and practice a sustainable workflow for the future. In the meantime I had to make sure the next few weeks are also productive. Got to love a bit of planning. Speaking of the future, preparations are already underway for Valentine's 2024! My bandana and bow bundles are available to order now, so don't miss out on spreading the love. I managed to source some very special and limited fabric that is just amazing. That will be available very soon!
Another exciting development on the horizon is the trade stands of 2024. I'm thrilled at this opportunity to meet and greet people, put faces to names, and connect with the grooming world on a deeper level. It's going to be an amazing experience!
